چکیده
Hydrogels In article number 2213382, Soo-Jin Park, Insik In, Dong-Yeun Koh, Albert S. Lee, and co-workers propose, catechol-functionalized poly(vinyl alcohol)-based hydrogel to inhibit the oxidation of MXene nanofiller while maintaining excellent mechanical electrical properties suitable for strain sensors. Sufficient interaction hydrophobic catechol groups with surface reduces oxidation-accessible sites in reaction water eventually suppresses hydrogel.

Metamaterials: Snapping Mechanical Metamaterials under Tension (Adv. Mater. 39/2015).
By exploiting snap-through instabilities, D. Pasini and co-workers design a damage-tolerant mechanical metamaterial that snaps sequentially under tension, thereby accommodating a very large deformation up to 150%. On page 5931, they describe how the nonlinear mechanical response of the metamaterial can be robustly programmed by tuning the architecture of its unit cell.

Continuous health status monitoring of infants is achieved with the development and fusion of wearable sensing technologies, wireless communication techniques and a low energy-consumption microprocessor with high performance data processing algorithms. As a clinical tool applied in the constant monitoring of physiological parameters of infants, wearable sensor systems for infants are able to tr...
متن کاملUltrasensitive and Highly Selective Graphene-Based Single Yarn for Use in Wearable Gas Sensor
Electric components based on fibers or textiles have been investigated owing to their potential applications in wearable devices. High performance on response to gas, drape-ability and washing durability are of important for gas sensors based on fiber substrates. In this report, we demonstrate the bendable and washable electronic textile (e-textile) gas sensors composed of reduced graphene oxid...
متن کاملHighly Sensitive and Stretchable Strain Sensor Based on Ag@CNTs
Due to the rapid development and superb performance of electronic skin, we propose a highly sensitive and stretchable temperature and strain sensor. Silver nanoparticles coated carbon nanowires (Ag@CNT) nanomaterials with different Ag concentrations were synthesized. After the morphology and components of the nanomaterials were demonstrated, the sensors composed of Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) a...
